*****ARREST MADE IN ASSAULT OF JUVENILE***** On August 14, 2014 at 10:51pm, officers responded to 3500 E. McKinney where the caller stated that a 13 year old male had been assaulted by a 31 year old male with a stick. The responding officer’s initial investigation led to conflicting facts, which led to the conclusion of that officer that there was not enough information known at the time to make an arrest. The officer wrote a report and it was turned over to Investigators to follow up. The Investigators interviewed a number of witnesses; some multiple times, compared all the testimony and evidence, and concluded that an offense did occur. The information from the investigation was provided to a judge and he determined that there was sufficient probable cause to support an arrest for the charge of Class C-Assault and Unlawful Carrying Weapon. The suspect, Steven Fredrickson, w/m, 31 years of age, was arrested Thursday, August 28, 2014 and was booked into the City of Denton Jail at 7:00pm.
