*** ASSISTANCE PLEASE ~ VETERANS ADMINISTRATION: Grandma Bonnie contacted the VA when Grandpa became ill. A physician with the VA contacted the ambulance company and instructed the company to take grandpa to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. The VA is now telling Grandma they will not pay for the ambulance transport because she did not follow procedure; i.e., she did not have grandpa taken to a VA center first to be evaluated. Question: is there a specific person we can contact to get this straightened out immediately? Grandma is not in the proper health (spiritual or physical) to deal with this crap. Sorry, but this is pure stupid. IMO. Thank you to anyone who can provide an answer.
