*****ATTENTION ALL PHOENIX RISING RESCUE SUPPORTERS AND FOLLOWERS***** As many people head into the New Year, they make New Years resolutions....only to fail at seeing them to completion. Thats because they are trying to accomplish their resolutions in their own strength. So I am making a DECLARATION for Phoenix Rising Rescue, and I hope you all will join us in our prayers!!! The following are some of the goals, both long term and short term, that PRR is moving towards. We know that all things are in Gods time, but we want to be prepared when the time comes. 1. A FACILITY - It is our goal to eventually have a facility that is both a rescue, boarding and training facility. We know its a tall order for such a young rescue, but my Daddy owns the cattle on a thousand hills. 2. PEOPLE - We know that we need more organized staff volunteers to get where we need to go and we know that God already has a some folks in mind. We are praying those people will feel compelled to join this ministry team soon. Be watching our page for details of an upcoming meeting that will be open to anyone interested) 3. PASSION - As rescuers, we are a very peculiar and passionate people. Sometimes our passion for the animals gets us in situations that we were never intended to be in. I pray we remain just as passionate, but that our passion will always bring HIM fame! 4. DECISIONS - Carrie has some really tough decisions to make in the near future regarding PRR. We pray that she has peace in knowing she is doing what is right....which is not always easy. Very few people understand or ever see what a real rescuer goes through on a daily basis. They sacrifice so much that they often lose themselves. Pray for Carrie to not grow weary in doing what is good and to take time to just WAIT and rest sometimes. And for her to remember that she has a very dear friend and pastor in her former boss, Pastor Wes Alvarez of My Fathers Vineyard in Pensacola. 5. FINANCES - Everyone always hates to talk about money but thats just crap. Pardon my French, but seriously? Its a necessary item in the growth of a rescue. We are completely non-profit...501c3 certified. Carrie retired from her job to focus on this rescue giving up income for her own family. Pray specifically that God brings the people along that have the ability to give and donate. No one is asking for people to give up their last dime or put themselves ina financial spot. But there are people out there who have the financial ability to bless this rescue and I want God to send them....and soon. There are day to day needs that we have to start planning for. (All of our Large kennels are in disrepair or loaned out, we go through dog food and toys like nobodys business, we spend a small fortune on gas each month running dogs here to there and late night street rescues all over town, we will need a new 12,000 BTU window unit for the Dog Den by summer and we would like to find one that also heats due to space issues, Carries truck is about shot out, and the list goes on and on) God will make a way. He always has. ***Please keep PRR and its staff of volunteers lifted up in prayer*** We rescue because He first rescued us!
