[ATTENTION] This is really getting on my nerves, so get ready for a bit of a rant!! I refuse to feel like I owe anything to anyone person or any group of people no matter who or what they are. My name is Catalleya Storm and I speak for myself, and I do things based off of what I want to do with my life and for the world. I am tired of people telling me I have to represent for black/brown people, or disabled/Deaf-HOH people, or women, or survivors, or Christians, or whatever. This last talk with another person was just one to many. When I said I was choosing to go into law school I didnt expect people to tell me I have to represent for these different kind of groups and that I have to bring about change for these different groups. This last time being told that I am not American and American means white and so I have to represent for African Americans is enough!!! I dont represent anyone but myself!! Stop getting mad at me because I identify myself as American, or I dont sign as much as I speak, or I choose to socialize with people from many different backgrounds, or I speak proper, or I dont know all the black people who paved the way, or I dont know all the Deaf people who have brought about change, or I dont celebrate Kwanza, or I dont push Jesus down peoples throats, or I disagree with the belief that God hated people, or I dont believe in whatever you are expecting me to believe in. Allow me to introduce myself!! My name is Catalleya Storm. I am a Christian, and I love my church (FBC Kettering). I am not one to believe the body of Christ is contained within one building, but that there are many parts to the body so I will never say my church is the only right church. I am a proud homeschool graduate (OHDELA) who graduated at 20 and is now 24. I am American, and proud to live in this country and will do whatever I can to make this country better in different ways, as well as help the rest of the world. I am proud to be a raider as a student at Wright State University , and yes I do feel my university is the best. I plan to go to law school in order to be better prepared to combat human trafficking and other human rights issues. I talk proper, and I like writing with as little grammatical errors as I can (though I often miss some errors), and my father (Kenneth) often tells me I speak like a valley girl. I love poetry, and I love writing and I write what I feel in my heart, so don’t get mad when I can’t write what you want because my heart is not always the same as others. So what. I am going greek, Sorority Recruitment 2014, and am tired of being judged for not chosing to join The Divine Nine, though they are awesome!! My song preferences are anything Rock, Classical, Foreign, Pop, Country, Gosspel, or pretty much anything. I LOVE Ellen DeGeneres, Johnny Depp and David Tennant is the only doctor Im okay with seeing! I am a survivor of childhood abuse and human trafficking, but that is not my identity either and I choose what I get involved in and what I dont. I am big on accepting people, and not on trying to make them more like myself or what I think they should be so please stop trying to change me!!! My life, my journey, is just that, mine!! I choose where I go and what I do, and I will not do anything just to bring pleasure to you!! I love the friends I have made, both near and far, and I LOVE being myself!! I love you all, and I hope you can be yourselves around me as well!! This is the end of my rant.
