***AVERAGE RATED AND OH! THOSE EARS!!!*** A volunteer writes: For those of us old enough to remember, or others who are simply up on history, Sputnik was the first satellite to orbit the earth. Our Sputnik is a gorgeous redhead, ready to orbit your world! He greeted me with a wagging tail and we head outside where he goes potty immediately indicating hes likely housetrained. He pulls hard on the leash and will need some training, so we head into the backyard where he can be off leash. As he explores our pen I get to admire his gorgeous coat which gleams with apparent good care, and see that his weight is perfect for his size. Hes a bit aloof at first, more interested in exploration, but every few minutes will run over to me for a hug and a kiss! He joins me on the bench to cuddle closer after we became better friends. Hes a good cuddler! Sputnik loves to chase a tossed ball and retrieves it right back to me. Hes got a great energy, loves to play, loves to cuddle, and loves just running around. A gorgeous dog with a big personality, Sputnik is hoping to meet his soul mate today.
