***AVERAGE RATED SAFER*** 6 years ago Jewelz was almost dumped in a parking lo but a family took her in and gave her a loving home until now. She was brought to the shelter due to landlord and financial problems. Please help find Jewelz a loving forever home before it is to late... A volunteer writes: Whether a gem or a jewel, Jewelz is truly a treasure. Her gorgeous brindle coat and rotund little body make for a sight to behold. At six years old, she is the perfect age, a combination of mellow and seasoned, but with many more years of love and affection to give. When I first approached Jewelz cage, she was curled up sleeping, shutting out the sounds and smells of the kennels. As I rattled her lock, she was up and ready to come out with me. Jewelz walks beautifully on the leash, and seems very much housetrained as she eliminated as soon as we got outside. While Jewelz seemed to like to be in the fresh air outside, she was more interested in relaxing with me, getting pets and listening to me tell her what a good girl she is. She calmly wags her tail to fellow dogs and knows the command sit. Jewelz would make an amazing companion for someone who has a laid back lifestyle just like her.
