. Abdulmumeen Abdulrazaq Before the discovery of crude oil in oloibiri area of Niger-Delta in 1956, the major source of our revenue was derived from export of agricultural products. We have the Groundnut Pyramid in Kano and Cocoa House in Ibadan. If it is the issue of crude oil in Niger-Delta that is making some people to seek for secession, then they have to think twice. Smaller countries like Ghana, Seychelles and Sao Tome have started discovering oil in their various territories. Then, what is the big deal? and moreover, crude oil is not eatable. Even if there is problem in Nigeria, secession is not the answer. Northern elite have turned their people into Almajiris and militants while the Southern elites have turned their people into ritualists and militants as well... Gowon, Babangida, Buhari, Obasanjo and others looted public fund to their satisfaction and Goodluck Jonathan is presently doing the same thing. Lets shun tribal and religious sentiments to fight these our rapacious leaders. There is strength in Unity! .
