. According to my observation for the past ten years working with deaf people in Liberia,most of the deafness come from poor health conditions. The majority of deaf children or people were not born deaf,but became deaf due to an early childhood illness or overmedication for malaria or other sicknesses.I also observed that some parents do not attached value to their deaf kids,they isolate them from their friends and the society. The deaf community present is not really felt in the society. For example at the hospitals, court houses, colleges, television etc........
