Admin Spotlight: Get to Know the Faces behind the posts/words! Name: Greggory Basore Age: 35 Gender: Man Hometown: Oak Harbor, WA Current Location: Eugene, OR Education: I dont need no education nor do I need thought control or dark sarcasm in the classroom. That said, Im currently attending Lane Community College Hobbies: Reading huge stacks of comics from the library, making short films, freelance writing, creative writing etc. Pages/Groups/Streams/Youtubes I own: https://youtube/channel/UCfZYLF5OPgtdw4Y_lC_ebig A little About me: Im a writer who is trying to make a living at it. Im currently working on a screenplay, writing a novel on twitter and I also freelance, mostly for toplessrobot First Console/Platform: Atari 2600, but NES was the first console where my brother and I were super excited just to see one let alone get one for xmas. First Game: Dont recall the name, but it was a cute Pac-Man knock off for Atari 2600 where you were a mouse eating cheese while avoiding cats. The big cheese wheels turned you into a dog and then you got to go after the cats. I knew at the time it was imitating Pac-Man (Id seen the arcade game) but for some reason I like it even more. Mostly because a mouse turning into a dog to kill cats was a lot cooler than a yellow circle making ghosts turn blue to be edible. Favorite Console/Platform: NES. It resurrected the home video game market and set the bar for what a console should be. Favorite Game Genre: Lifes too long to pick one game or genre as a favorite. I like anything that stands out among its competition. For example, when it comes to medieval fantasy settings, Legend of Zelda continues to be a distinctive brand. In the realm of sandbox crime rampage simulators, the Grand Theft Auto series set the mold. Favorite Game: Again, lifes too long to pick one. Some that come to mind are series like Oddworld, Fallout (preBethesda), Fallout(postBethesda), Mass Effect (minus the shite ending), Elder Scrolls, Grand Theft Auto, Legacy of Kain, Final Fantasy, Binding of Isaac, Lone Survivor, Bioshock, etc. Favorite Gaming Music: classic 8-Bit/16Bit era midi stuff. Mario and Zelda music especially. How/When you came to be with PWLG: I dont quite know. Presumably someone from the nerdy LCC crowd in Eugene/Springfield added me. It was just something that Id noticed in my facebook feed at some point. What you do for PWLG: Try to organize events and get togethers. What you want to see for PWLG: More gatherings in the Eugene Springfield area for fun socializing. Also, more collaborating on creative projects like a documentary about people whove grown up with gaming and how its affected them or creating actual games. Add anything else you would like to this post.. Heres some of my online work Im proudest of: An article about the recent passing of Robin Williams - toplessrobot/2014/08/robin_williams_aladdin_genie_bicentennial_man_what.php The first (and so far only) article Ive ever sold to cracked - cracked/article_18813_5-reasons-hollywood-needs-to-stop-making-prequels.html The novel Ive been writing on Twitter in a much easier to read form- splatter-effect-1.tumblr/
