★ Adoption Alert ★ ★★ Please share ★★ Meet Duke. Ive been fostering this mushy, handsome guy for The fetch Foundation and he is ready to find his forever home. He falls into the extra-large category. He is almost 30 inches tall from the ground to his shoulder and he currently weighs in at about 100 pounds. He is slightly underweight & needs to add about 7-10 pounds to his frame. We estimate he is under 2 years old. He was rescued from the humane society by a retired K9 officer who recognized what he is. He has a great temperament. He loves people and really just wants to be loved on and paid attention to. He has some training (sit, down & leash) but he needs an owner who is willing to spend some extra time with him refreshing that training. He is completely house broken and has been free roaming in my house without any problems. He doesnt particularly enjoy being in a crate, but there is evidence to suggest he has experience of being crate trained. We believe he is Dutch Shepherd (possibly mixed with something because of his size) and he has many Shepherd qualities & behaviors. Like most shepherds, he exhibits a high prey drive so I do not recommend a home with small animals (cats, bunnies, neurotic little dogs). While he is very friendly with children, due to his size he is better suited for a home with older children. He was neutered 2 weeks ago and is up to date on all shots. His hips were x-rayed last week and are in great condition. This super smart guy requires a caring, firm and attentive owner who wants a great companion to spend lots of time together and can help shape his behavior into the perfect dog. He needs some structure and stability as his life has been turned upside down in the past few weeks. Duke is currently located in Tempe, AZ. For more information about this lover boy, please email me at heather@heatherdopson or call The Fetch Foundation at (602) 617-2656. ★★ Please share ★★ this with your networks so we can find Duke a great home and get him settled in. Duke thanks you! ツ
