*** Advice sough from a concerned mum *** I need some advice, my near 7yo son is has asd and hes having bad moments at school, spitting on teachers, physically hurting people (teachers included), running out of the classroom & using bad language. Hes a brilliant child at home and hes an only child in the home as well. The school dont have funding for a full time aid for him and hes in mainstream school, the teachers are really good and accepting of him and the worst punishment he gets is time out. Im just at my wits end because I cant always be at school with him and I have to start looking for work soon I just need some advice on how I should deal with him etc. I feel bad taking things away from him after school when hes already had punishment at school but people always say to me take this from him, send him to bed early, threaten him to send him to a naughty boys home (make believe). I just feel really bad and feel as though Im failing as a parent please help me!!
