“All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil [by - TopicsExpress

“All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil [by anxious thoughts and forebodings], but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances].” Proverbs 15:15 While sitting in the car one day, I was letting my feelings and thoughts get the best of me. Circumstances in my life felt uncontrollable and difficult for me to process. Instead of casting my cares on God, I had a pity party. My pity party was going terribly, terribly great. For hours God allowed this to go on, until the Spirit of God spoke up in my heart, “My life is everlasting.” Those words ministered to my core. When you feel drained of life, and discouragement and disappointed has dried up your joy that was flowing like a river, remember God’s life and love is constant and is everlasting. It never runs out. This is how a glad heart, which is someone that is receiving life from God, can have a continual feast regardless of circumstances. Life events may be hard to process at times, but you can receive the life of God right in the midst of the driest seasons in your life. God is your rich and abundant supply of joy. He is your constant supply of love. He is your wellspring within you springing up into everlasting life. Let God be Who He is in your life. Prayer: Father God, thank You for loving me. Please forgive my wrong thinking. When I feel drained, discouraged and disappointed, help me stay reminded to receive Your everlasting life and the truth of Your Word. You never stop loving me. You are always there to give me what I need. You are my very present help in time of trouble. Thank You. I receive Your love and Your life. My heart will be glad and I will have a continual feast regardless of outward circumstances. I approach Your throne and receive mercy and find grace to help me in my time of need. In Jesus Name, Amen.
