#AlphaDawg is on the Point. Finally settled back in after the Cruise on Allure of the Seas. #AllureoftheSeas #RoyalCarribbeanInternational. We are rethinking Cruising. The first five days were magical until we got sick... really-really sick. I suspect from the symptoms it is the NoroVirus. I had to be treated at the medical center on the ship. They gave me medications. They had me fill out a ten page questionaire of every activity I did on the ship, everywhere I went, everything I ate, in which restaraunt, and when I ate it. I mean in detail, which foods I ate, Day One - DayTwo - Day Three - etc. Did I interact with other passengers etc. Throwing up constantly and on the toilet every five minutes... running a low grade fever. It was Hell. The Bradley family also came down to the point their one year-old was given a shot onboard. Sean Bradley called the Cruise line and they said they had No Record of the Baby being treated. I spent the entire last days of the cruise in my stateoom sick. When I finally began to get better Debbie came down and it was hell until she started to get better last night. When we were leaving the ship, there were ships officers with clipboards and and two guys in HazMat gear with equipment disenfecting several of the staterooms on our deck. I asked the ships officer with the clipboard did he have my stateroom on the list to be decontaminated. He said yes he did. I hope to Hell they dont try to say I wast treated like they denied the Bradleys baby was because I still have the paperwork. My impression is that the Cruise lines might routinely cover up, sweep under the rug, and deny cases of NoroVirus unless it goes epidemic and the news media picks it up. I am not so upset that it happened as I am that Royal Carribbean seems more interested in making it go away as if it wasnt true than they are seeming to care about their customers. Ive been up since 4:00 AM but, even though we got home Sunday night, we were both too sick to unpack. So this morning, we had to unpack after the cruise which took some time and since the house-cleaners are coming today, theres a lot of pre-preparation Debbie and I had to handle. This is a 10,000 sq.ft. home. Of course Debbie is better but still sick and getting better... I am a lot better but some of the symptoms are still lingering. All of the research I have read said the virus runs its course after three days. We are on a bland diet.
