Two modern dictionary definitions provide the basis for this White Paper: AGRICULTURE: Also called farming or husbandry is the cultivation of animals, plants, fungi and other life forms for food, fiber and other products used to sustain life. HORSE: A large hoofed mammal (Equus caballus) having a short-haired coat, a long mane and tail, domesticated since ancient time, and used for riding or carrying loads.
