.....An emotional roller coaster last week & this past weekend. Sadness for the pain my boys and my ex inlaws were going thru, a difficult, but very nice military funeral, great visiting with lots of friends(relatives by marriage) I havent seen for years - reminiscing over all the crazy, fun times of years past, glad to see my son & his wife from Des Moines & my daughter & her boyfriend from Kearney, appreciate my adopted son from Lincoln bringing my new Smart TV & fancy new rug shampooer (birthday gifts) & setting everything up for me. Had a fun brunch Sat at my son Vics house with everyone - lots of laughs. Whats nice about getting old is getting to sit on my butt & watch everybody else cook & clean up! I get served like a queen! Then the birthday gifts still trickling in yesterday & today even!! Have to chuckle at my grt- grandson Alex - (8) he knows he cant go wrong giving his grandma Duncan Donut coffee & a new coffee cup!! ( I think maybe his mom helps him pick it out) Got slippers to last me thru the winter! ;-) 1 pair practical - 1 pair big & silly! Woke up last Tues to a big fat chocolate donut, a pretty card, & a twenty dollar bill! Great way to start the day! Yum! And good stuff has been happening ever since! A gift card, & lots of good wishes. God is good! Still resting up - enjoying my new TV.
