“And he went from year to year in circuit to Bethel, and Gilgal, and Mizpeh, and judged Israel in all those places.” 1 Samuel 7:16. The Oasis of Hope Devotional for 2day! GOD REWARDS HARD WORK. Samuel worked hard in d service of d Lord. Every year, he would go about Israel to help settle disputes & promote righteousness. Never fold yo hands if u don’t want life to fold up on u. Beloved, work is designed to provide for our livelihoods. We all have needs – food, shelter, clothing, transportation, & many more. Work is d primary means for satisfying those needs. To belittle d value of work is to diminish d satisfaction of being able to provide for yo needs. Today, there are many who work, but only putting in d hours. They don’t work as unto d Lord, or even as unto their boss. They’re just there. As a child of God, it ought not to be so! People around u may be clever at playing politics at work, but not u. They do so little, & always looking for d easy way out. If d boss isn’t watching, they’re playing on d computer. They simply go to work to pick up a paycheck, then wonder why they’re not promoted. It ought not to be so! Friend, God doesn’t bless laziness; He blesses hard work & excellence. Remember, u’re working for d Lord. He’s d one who put those talents & abilities in u. U’re a steward of d gifts He’s given. Others may show up late, but not u. They may complain or cut corners to get to d top. But don’t sink down to their level. Get up daily & do something! Whatever yo hand finds to do, do it with all yo might. Use yo power, yo intelligence, yo vision, yo gifts & all that God gave u, to do something. Don’t sit on d sidelines. God gave u two hands. Use them. God gave u a voice. Speak up. God gave u two feet. Go on a journey. Do something with d life that God gave u. Be punctual. Stay focused. Whether u’re a stay at home mom, a pastor, a teacher, a truck driver, a waitress, an architect, a police officer or a CEO, do it to d best of yo ability. God is d one who brings promotion. “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Proverbs 22:29. Prayer: Dear Father, prosper d works of my hands, in Jesus name. Hav a Triumphant day! U re unstoppable! Shalom.
