“And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain...” (1 Kings 18: 45). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. Prior to our Focal Scripture, for three and half years, it hadn’t rained in Israel; it seemed that there was a delay in the release of rain. Everyone probably wanted the rain, but it wasn’t forthcoming. It was a case of demand without supplies; it was a case of unfulfilled expectations. When the rain later came, after the delay of three and a half years, what came was not ordinary rain; what came was a great rain. After the delays, God compensated His people with rain that was not ordinary; after the delays, the rain was restored, and it came with massive compensation. Friend, are your expectations from God being delayed? God says, when it comes, it will be bigger and heavier than you expected. When God brings answers to those prayers you have repeatedly made, it won’t be ordinary answers; it will be supernatural answers. When those delayed testimonies arrive, they will be extra-ordinary. God will make your package massive because of what you went through while waiting. Every pain and disappointment you have experienced will be followed by massive results that will exceed your expectations. God will make you glad according to the days you suffered; you shall have double for your shame; you shall have more than you have ever received from men and from God. Your rain will be heavy. Get set for your ‘heavy rains’; get set for great testimonies, massive results, and breakthroughs that will sound like a lie; get set for restoration with compensation. Psalm 90 vs. 15 puts it this way: “Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.” Pray With Me: Lord, my testimonies shall be great and heavy, in Jesus’ name!
