“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest - TopicsExpress

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1st Corinthians 13:13 Most of the enemy’s attacks on believers are designed to weaken us in one or all three of these areas; faith, hope and love. The enemy knows that if he can cause discouragement to set in and get us to lose faith, lose hope, or disregard love, this discouragement can spread to every area of our lives and cause a domino effect of uprooting everything Christ has done in us, making us non-effective at destroying his works and eliminating our testimony which would help others loosen the enemy’s grip on their lives. Why attack our faith, hope and love? Faith is what tells you God “can”. The enemy doesn’t like when you put your confidence in God’s ability to work on your behalf. That’s half the battle. Hope is what tells you God “will” do it for you. The enemy hates “hope”. Hope doesn’t see the current state, but the end result. And “love” is what makes it worth it all. The enemy knows that if he can get you mad enough at people; mad enough at God; he can cultivate hate. And hate brings destruction. It undermines everything that is good. Today the Father wants to encourage us. No matter what you may be going through, hold on. Allow faith, hope and love to abide in you today. God’s love for you makes it worth it all.
