“And the King shall answer and say unto them, ‘Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me’” Matthew 25:40. Today, you and I have an opportunity to do something wonderful for Jesus. If He came to our homes and was hungry, we would certainly offer Him the best meal we could. Right now thousands of “the least of these” are going hungry in Israel. They are elderly Holocaust survivors who have no one to help them—most of them are the only surviving member of their family. Hunger and poverty among the elderly of Israel is a big problem, and it is getting worse. The report from Israel that I received recently shows that the poverty rate among the elderly is rapidly rising. So often, the little bit that Holocaust survivors receive from the government is not enough to live on, and they must choose between buying food or medicine, between paying rent or purchasing other necessities. I am asking you to send a special Passover gift to help us meet their urgent needs...
