“And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi...” (2 Kings 9: 2). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. Before he was anointed King of Israel, Jehu was captain of the army. He was a warrior; he fought battles for his nation. As a captain, he knew what it meant to win battles and suffer defeat. Jehu was acquainted with warfare; but in a matter of time, he wore the crown of kingship. After his battles, a crown was waiting. Friend, are there battles you are fighting right now in your health, career, business, ministry, marriage, family, etc? Are there battles you have lost already? Are there battles you are still fighting at the moment? Are there battles that have refused to go away? God says, there is a crown waiting after your battles. There is a higher level awaiting you if you don’t give up on your battles. There is a reason for every battle you are fighting right now; and God says it is for your promotion. Every battle you are fighting will push you to the next level; your battle is a wrapping sheet for the crown God prepared for you.After your battles, God will cause you to be promoted, and you will wear a crown of glory; after your battles, God will usher you into abundance; you wont remain on the same level after fighting your battles; as you fight and win your battles, you will get closer to the crown God has for you. Fight every battle that has come your way. Fight the battle of lack; fight the battle against sin; fight the battle for your health, next level, career, progress, etc; don’t give up on any battle; don’t let the battles of life wear you out or weigh you down. If any battle comes to you, fight it and win it. Job 23 vs. 10 has this to say: “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Pray With Me: Lord, I won’t give up on my battles; my crown is waiting, in Jesus’ name!
