“And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.” (Isaiah 58:12) This is one of my favorite verses of Scripture for you to contemplate in regard to and application to the ministry of Answers in Genesis, The Creation Museum and The Ark Encounter. Just as Nehemiah had a burden to repair the wall, we at AiG have a burden to call the church (and culture) back to the authority of the Word of God beginning in Genesis. There has been a major ‘breach’ of the ‘wall,’ as so much of the church in today’s era, (and particularly Christian leadership), has compromised God’s Word from the very first book. We do our best to ‘repair’ that breach and equip people to boldly and unashamedly work with us to see God’s people ‘restored’ to an uncompromising stand on God’s Word—and to see the culture as a whole challenged concerning the truth of God’s Word and the saving gospel.
