“Another Broken Treaty” And Jesus said unto him, No man, - TopicsExpress

“Another Broken Treaty” And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Luke 9:62 Did you know that in the last 3,100 years of recorded history there have only been 286 years where no war was being fought? Over 8,000 treaties signed to end wars were broken, and the wars raged on again. There is a spiritual parallel here that is beneficial for us to understand. Many of us have signed spiritual treaties with the Lord—a vow to God. Are you keeping this treaty with the Lord? The greatest difficulty in conversion is the initial signing of the treaty with God. The greatest difficulty after conversion is keeping the treaty with God. Friend, God is going to keep His part of the treaty. Are you? Maintain your relationship with God. Don’t slip out of fellowship with Him. Trust in His promises. Stay in harmony with the Lord. Go daily to the Cross. Go back to the place and time you accepted Jesus into your heart as the peacemaker between you and God. Remember, you dedicated your life to the Lord. No matter what comes your way, regardless of the trials and difficulties, you will keep your part of the treaty. You have put your hand to the plow; you’ve signed the dotted line. There is no turning back. Genesis 19; Matthew 18; Nehemiah 8; Acts 18
