*** Appeal for Witnesses to Collision on Stockton High Street *** Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision involving a 75-year-old female pedestrian and a bus in Stockton yesterday, Thursday 4th December. The collision took place at around 1.35pm outside Debenhams on the High Street. The road was closed for a short time whilst the Great North Air Ambulance landed at the scene to treat the pedestrian. The woman, who is from the Stockton area, is currently detained in James Cook University Hospital and is described as being in a stable condition. Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact PC Neil Bennett at Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency 101 number, quoting event number 213776.
