As we get ready to celebrate Tucsons birthday, August 20th, I think of Cele Peterson. Its fun to recall that our citys birthday party started out as a CELEbration, Celes idea of a festival about all the reasons we love living in Tucson. Its possible no one loved it more than she, and Tucson loved her back. Many thanks to Michael McNulty for this amazing footage of Cele telling her stories and celebrating her own 100th birthday. (Happy Birthday Tucson) As we remember Cele, I also want express condolences to two Tucson families.
