“Asalamu alikum brothers and sisters in Islam! My name is Hala, Im 22 Years Old and Morocco is my Home. I come from a Muslim family Alhamdulillah. MashaAllah, my mother is religiously committed and shes even giving Dawaa. She taught me what Islam is, she taught me whats right and whats wrong, and she never forces me to do something. She always used to say that hijab is Fard (obligatory) but she never obliged me, to put it on. Ive Started wearing Hijab 3 years ago, when a friend of mine wore it, I cried a lot that day. I always used to cry my eyes out whenever I saw a girl with a hijab on. I use to always wonder “why dont I have the courage to wear it?” because deep inside of me I really wanted to wear it. Anyways, I think my Iman was so low that I was hesitating. Two days after my friend put it on, I decided to wear it too, and yes ! I Did. I admit that I was wearing the scarf with tight skinny jeans and sometimes with short skirts, i knew it was bad but i believed that with time my hijab would get better, and thats what happened. One year ago, another friend of mine, Karima, she was in a relationship with someone and they broke up. She called and wanted to meet up with me because she was very depressed. We met that evening, we’ve spoke about it, I tried to advise her. I also reminded her of there should be no romantic relationship before Nikah. Furthermore, 4 days later she called again and she wanted to meet me, Guess what ? She put on Khimar! I was shocked, I couldn’t believe what happened. We cried a lot that day and she said she will always be grateful to me. I was so happy that night, I sat alone and thought about it, thats when I decided to put on khimar too. Yes! I did Alhamdulillah!. See Brothers and sisters ? Ive had an influence on her just by talking to her for some minutes and she influenced me back for the rest of my life. What I want to say to you guys is this “never hesitate in giving advice to your brothers and sisters in Islam, because verily, a reminder benefits the believers.” Some people out there just needs a little boost, a little push from you guys so dont hesitate reminding them of what Allah SWT and the Prophet PBUH said. Happy to share with you my Hijab story and thank you for commenting peace out!” – Hala (Morocco).
