(BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ) Join The Bernards Township Regional Chamber of Commerce As We Kick off Our New & Exciting, 2015 Health & Wellness Campaign, Starting January 17, 2015, at The Raptor Trust Center! Our Chamber had created a Health & Wellness committee as a result of our 2014 Health Fair, held back in September. The committee, made up of Chamber members, put together monthly programs open to the public that focuses on all aspects of health & wellness for all ages, comments Bernards Township Regional Chamber President Al LICata. The Chamber will Kick-Off the 2015 Health & Wellness Campaign on January 17, 2015. A WALK WITH THE CHAMBER, will take place at the Raptor Trust Facility, 1390 White Bridge Road, in Millington, NJ. The WALK WITH THE CHAMBER, will introduce people to an up close and personal look and understanding of the Raptor Trust and the birds under their care. In addition to learning the importance of staying active and living a healthy lifestyle. The event is open to the public. There is no cost to participate. Participants are asked to meet at the entrance gazebo in the parking lot of the Raptor Trust for a prompt 9:30am start, adds BTCC Health & Wellness Committee Member Dr. Azita Emami, of Basking Ridge Dental Group. Students looking for community service hours are also welcome to contact the Chamber to assist with this project. Contact the Chamber at 908-766-6755. In addition, scout groups are invited to attend the program and earn badges. Contact the Chamber of Commerce in advance to sign up your troop. As part of the program a healthy walking tour of the Trust will take place. Representatives of the Raptor Trust will bring out several birds for an up close and personal visit. The Chamber and its members will provide free, health & wellness information to all that attend along with information on other upcoming events the Committee will be hosting. Various Members of the Chambers Health & Wellness Committee will be providing free, healthy snacks, hot chocolate and more.. The Raptor Trust is one of the premier wild bird rehabilitation centers in the United States. Located in central New Jersey, the Trust includes a hospital with state-of-the-art medical facilities, quality exterior housing for several hundred birds, and an education building. A stalwart advocate for birds of prey for three decades, it is now recognized as a national leader in the fields of raptor conservation and avian rehabilitation. The Chamber is very excited about this new, yearlong, Health & Wellness Campaign. The Committee has been meeting monthly to review programs and develop next steps.
