You needed to see my contenance on that fateful day.How can I xplain the kind of hunger eating me up?That kind of hunger that makes you wish for death; that makes u pick offence at virtually every little thing; that makes you dont wanna go to toilet to aviod emptying your bowels completely; that kind of hunger that makes u sleep, wake up, sleep, wake up, sleep again...Until mama calls thatfood is ready.But I was the only one at home. Mom and dad travelled out of town. They left me with food stuffs in store with enough money (#15,000)to buy ingredients and make meals my self but I used all themoney to buy the Nokia android phone I am using to write this piece right now.I figured out an Idea.I fetched some tears of rice from the bag of rice at home and headed to the market. I was goint to sell it to get money to buy the necessary ingredients I needed.BUT ON MY WAY TO THE MARKET with the rice in a nylon leather, I stumbled on stone and hit my right foot. It hurt badly....and as I bent down to feel my toe, I noticed a dirty brown envelop on the ground. Quite a number of feet hav walked on it. No one seem to have noticed it. I guess the envelop was waiting for me.I opened it lightly and with what I saw, I quickly deeped it in the nylon I was carrying.I did a U-turn back home. In the envelop was contained, 35 pieces of 1000 naira note.I removed 1000 naira from it and headed to a fast food joint coz I didnt have the strength to prepare any meal.As I entered a restaurant, I met these two sisters of about the age of 18 and 21 respectively. At first I sat opposite them. As I was just about to call on the attention of the waiter, I noticed something unusual and walked up to them.Xcuse me, I said to the elder one, Sorry, I accidentally stared at your pant, pls close your legs!And she was like, what? How long have u been starring?Just about 2 minutes, I responded.You starred for abt two minutes, she yelled, And you said it was accidentally? and her younger sister bursted out, laughing.Like seriously, I dont find this funny, she continued,I am walking out!You havnt settled the waitress!She deeped her hand in her bag, and in an almost crying tone, she said,I cant find the brown envelope; I cant find my school fee!BROWN ENVELOPE??? I said in my mind....TO BE CONTINUED........IN EPISODE TWO....
