....¤¤¤BIRTHDAY STATEMENT¤¤¤.... My words are insufficient to express the gratitude and adoration to the rightful owner, my creator, the almighty, who out of his mercy has created, and sustained me to witness this great day of my life. ALHAMDULILLAHI. I must sincerely say that I owe my life to my parents, who not only facilitated my coming to the world but laboured for me not to labour, who suffered for me not to suffer, who starved for me to eat, who wept for me to smile, who were sleepless for me to sleep. My dear parents you are my gods. Toongy is a baby, who is totally dependent of others to live his life. My people are too numerous to mention; my friends, family, fans, followers, leaders and my well-wishers, I say you are my makers. I owe you a lot. This date, November 9 in early 80s, I was born into this world for a purppose best known to God. My birth was enigmatically marvellous enough to convince the most adamant sadist in the city of Ado Ekiti that THE LIGHT has finally arrived. Before you all today, I want to make known the CREED with which the remaining years of my life shall be spent. I will always seek and merit divine help. I will seek to balance career and family as best as I can, since both are important to me. My home will be a place where I, and my family, friends, and guests find joy, comfort, peace, and happiness. I want to teach my children to love, to learn and to smile___ and to work and develop their unique talents. I will always remember the people involved in my life. I value the rights, freedoms, responsibilities of our democratic society. I will continue to be a concerned and informed citizen, involved in the political process to ensure my voice is heard and my vote is counted. I will always defend those who are defenceless. As a self-starting individual who exercises initiative, I will act on situations and opportunities, rather than to be acted upon. I will develop the habits that will free me from old labels and limits, and expand my capabilities and choices. My money shall be my servant, not my master. My wants will be subjected to my needs, and my needs to my means. Conclusively, I will use what money and talents I have to make life more enjoyable for others through selfless-service and charitable giving. So help me God. God bless us all, God bless Nigeria, God bless Africa. Signed, Tijani Rasaq Olatunji (TOONGY OF AFRICA). November 9th, 2013.
