Good evening ladies and gentlemen, great and articulate Nigerian students, my name Ayannuga Olugbenga Paul a.k.a. Oluayan1, a 400level student of the college of engineering and environmental studies Ibogun, in the department of electrical and electronics engineering. The current vice president 4 of the students’union government of this institution and writer/composer of OOU anthem. I am here today to declare my intention to run for the post of the president of the students’union government, Olabisi Onabanjo University in the 2012/2013 electioneering year. This is because i believe that in the world of injustice, silence is a crime. And what OOUSUG needs now is a vociferous leader who can adequately and appropriately address issues that are daily facing the students of this great institution, cut across all campuses in a firm and convincing manner that will make both the government of the state and the management of the institution listen and fulfill the wishes of the students, thereby bringing the needed succour to the student community of this great institution. I have over the years acquired several ingenious experiencies in the cause of my foray into the world of campus politics. Since my days at the federal polythecnic Ilaro (2003-2005) when I was known as “Aluta Fela” to the present government of OOUSUG, and it is my intention to collate all this acquired knowledge of leadership through first hand experience, with my Gods’given talent of leadership to lead the students’union government in the 2012/2013 administrative year to an enviable height. Withe valentines dance concert at the mini campus LT in february of 2010, Oluayan1 live in concert at Molaroid hotel Sagamu in january 2011, and the recent award for academic excellence at the engineering workshop OOU CEES Ibogun in june 2013.
