** BUSHFIRE ADVICE - KANYANABA ROAD, DANDARAGAN ** || PLEASE READ CAREFULLY & SHARE || IMAGE: DFES Bushfire ADVICE for people travelling on Kanyanaba Road in the Shire of Dandaragan Tuesday 6 January 2015 - 1:56 PM ALERT LEVEL: A bushfire ADVICE has been issued for people travelling on Kanyanaba Road in the Shire of Dandaragan. • There is no threat to lives or homes but there is a lot of smoke in the area. • Although there is no immediate danger you need to be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes. • The fire is burning in bushland east of Kanyanaba Road near the intersection of Rowes Road. BUSHFIRE BEHAVIOUR: • The bushfire is moving fast in a northerly direction. • It is out of control and unpredictable. WHAT TO DO: • Be extremely careful when driving through the area. • Turn your headlights on and drive slowly. • Watch for emergency services personnel and follow their directions. • If you cannot see clearly, pull over, keep your headlights and hazard lights on, and wait until the smoke clears. • If you have a respiratory condition and you have been affected by smoke you should contact your local doctor or call Health Direct on 1800 022 222. WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING: • Thirty volunteer Bush Fire Service firefighters from two brigades are on the scene. • Aerial support has been sent to assist ground crews. EXTRA INFORMATION: • The incident was reported at 1.22pm on 5 January 2015 and has reignited this afternoon. • The cause of the fire is a reignition of yesterdays fire. • The Shire of Dandaragan is managing the fire.
