#Bangalore Aptean India hiring Associate Technical Writer Aptean is looking for an Associate Technical Writer who will work with a team of Documentation professionals to help produce high-quality commercial documentation for Apteans software. The person in this position is expected to contribute significantly to minor deliverables such as Quick Start guides and Hot Fix/Service Pack Readme documents. They are also expected to make updates to online help and Release Notes; must work proactively to ensure that the documentation produced is accurate, complete and conforms to Aptean style guidelines. Strong command of the English language and willingness to achieve within a team environment is essential. Key Responsibilities: Support a team of experience Technical Writers to help produce high-quality product documentation for Apteans software products. Generate output for publication and perform file maintenance tasks. Assist with routine documentation tasks, such as capturing screen shots, correcting formatting issues and applying styles. Create and update minor product deliverables for release/publication. Incorporate review feedback and minor edits; provide peer review of others documents. Develop and maintain technical product documentation under the supervision and guidance of a seasoned team of technical writers. Required Experience and skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with an excellent command of the English language, characterized by a strong grasp of English grammar, style, tone, spelling, and punctuation. Exposure to authoring technical product documentation using the standard Documentation Development Life Cycle (DDLC). Proven ability to work effectively within time constraints to meet schedule deadlines. Familiarity with the Microsoft Manual of Style for Technical Publications and ability to quickly learn internal standards and styles. Experience with the following Help authoring tools: Adobe FrameMaker Adobe Acrobat MadCap Flare RoboHelp HTML Experience with Microsoft Office. Conceptual knowledge of n-tier architecture and object-oriented technology. Conceptual knowledge of the ERP/CRM industry. Familiarity with HTML and XML.
