🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 Before the new year 2015 starts, join me in writing a mission statement. Think about why you want to make changes, the actual changes youd like to make, and what you would like the result of these changes to be. In doing this you are planning a solid foundation for 2015 on which you can build on and hopefully motivate you to keep going when the going gets tough. Your life purpose or personal mission statement is a short statement, usually a sentence or two, but may be longer, that points to the process and direction you intend your life to move in. Its more like a compass than a goal or a destination. It helps you stay on track, heading in the direction of your choosing and influences your decision making process. Do I have to have a life purpose? Absolutely not. Nobodys saying you have to have a life purpose. Unless you want to improve your chances of experiencing as much or more happiness, success, and fulfillment that you can stand for the rest of your life! The choice is always yours. Try it. Youll like it! Why bother having a life purpose? Of course, having a clearly defined life purpose doesnt guarantee anything. There are no guarantees in life. But, without a defined direction, youre leaving the direction of your life up to chance. Id rather stack the odds in my favor by having a clearly defined life purpose or personal Dont worry if its not perfect right off the bat. If youre a perfectionist, you may want to check out How To Overcome Perfectionism. Its okay if it evolves. This isnt a contest. Its not a goal with an abolute definable conclusion. Its a process that may need to be refined over time. If you get it perfect the first time, consider yourself lucky. If not, dont worry about it. Keep moving ahead. You are the sculpter of your life. You need a lump of clay to begin the process. Thats what completing this technique will give you: something to work with. Youll know when its right and when it is, it probably wont change much, if at all, for the rest of your life. But for now, lets just get something to get the ball rolling.
