“ ... Between Capeless, Craneville and Allendale, a total of 110 children conducted a Giving Project this year. With the teachers collectively investing a total of $550 into the project, their students efforts yielded a return of $9,660. What difference does that make? On Tuesday, fifth-graders in Bills class presented their projects, which among various monetary donations to various organizations, also funded the donations of 64 backpacks filled with supplies for children in the custody of the state Department of Children & Families, as well as many books for the Christian Center. The Pittsfield classes made presentations of their work on Friday, attended by peers, family members, school leaders, local and state dignitaries. Among the most popular beneficiaries were Berkshire Humane Society, Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter, Goodwill, Salvation Army, Elizabeth Freeman Center and Moments House. But several other causes were championed by the students too. “ A little late on this read & share, but none-the-less just as beautiful!!!! God bless you all !!!
