“Blind Love” They glare upon me, my efforts in vain. My only hope is that I can please them, But still, they just regard me with disdain. Their intention for me is to condemn. Lord, I know what you taught a soul like me. For every persecution, turn your cheek. Instead, I wish I could turn tail and flee. For everything is starting to look bleak. Despite my wishes, I grasp for Your grace. I take Your advice and swallow my pride. Now I stand here, my body I brace, And wait as two vying forces collide. Countless times, citizens put You to shame. You did not worry, You loved them the same.
