One would be tempted to ask if it was the same Soyinka who was almost thrown to the Lions den for daring to compare GEJ with King Nebucadnezzar about two weeks ago. Smh If you think this is peculiar to one divide, then you are wrong. Few days ago I saw a broadcast on my Whatapps of a post I have read many months ago trying to disabuse the minds of those who feel Buhari is an islamist or tribalist, the post gave insight on how Buharis daughter married an igbo man, how his cook and driver are christians etc. The BC of my Whatsapp now attributed that write-up to guess who? OLUSEGUN OBASANJO of all people!. One of the quotes even said Obj alluded that only him and Buhari were upright Nigerians!. If you find this laughable, wait and see those sharing it on their wall. Political extremism is now growing its head in Nigeria especially among the so-called educated folks. Just go through threads and see educated Nigerians behaving like NURTW thugs. I just cant wait for February 14th to come. My prayers is that this renewed extremism should not translate to chaos that will make the doomsday prediction a reality May God help us all Happy Sunday friends
