#Bookbucketchallenge Post a list of your favorite books and make a note of how they influenced you. 1. The Holy Bible. This of course is my foundation and basis of truth. It is my physical connection to my Heavenly Father and is good for instruction and direction. 2. A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens this gave me a unique perspective of social-economic injustices and largely formed my views on them even today. 3. Glom Gloom by Jo Dereske the first chapter book I read more than once. It gave me cause to look at traditions in a critical way and really inspect their meaning. It also challenged me to ask why rules exist and gave me a greater appreciation for laws I did not necessarily understand. 4. A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snickett I have read the whole series more than once. It helped me to become more optimistic and hopeful in my own life. If the Baudelaires could overcome, so could I! 5. Gullivers Travels by Jonathan Swift. Even though I read it when I was young the satire was not lost on me. This helped me to realize that all human government is flawed. I can only make the best of it or go mad trying to change it. I prefer the company of people over horses, so I will make the best of it. Those are all that come to mind. I will tag others to do the challenge, but if I overlook anyone that wants to do it, please feel free to take the initiative to do so!
