(Breaking NEWS) NSF declares Non cooperation to GPSN NSCN The Naga Students’ Federation is aghast to come across the response of the GPRN/NSCN to the ultimatum submitted on 28.06.13 by the NSF. At the very outset, the NSF is deeply offended by the GPRN/NSCN total disregard to the office of the NSF by merely responding to its ultimatum through local dailies when the NSF has presented an official written request to the GPRN/NSCN because though the NSF abhor the atrocities and irregularities, yet, the NSF respects the Naga National Organizations. Further, the NSF is enraged to the reaffirmation of the GPRN/NSCN to protect the culprit responsible for shooting the NSF Official by merely down playing it that the action was committed in response to call on duty as a soldier. In this regard, the NSF is made to understand that, Lieut Amento Kiba was call on duty as a soldier to assassinate the NSF official for which the NSF will not give up its demand till the culprit is given befitting punishment. The NSF also would like to make it clear that ever since its inception in 1947, the NSF has been championing the cause of the Naga National Movement which is deep rooted in the principles of the federation. Both at the National and International platform, the NSF has been occupying the platform to sow the seed of Naga Nationalism despite untold hardship, whereby the official has been harassed, detained, tortured and even killed by the Indian Army and mercenaries. The NSF as an intellectual student organization has always been on the forefront to profess that Naga Nationalism is a legitimate movement and the Government of India must solve the Naga issue politically. The ongoing cease fire with different Naga Political organization is an outcome which also is because of the long unflinching support and struggle of the NSF for recognition both at the National and International forum for which the record and the history is apparent. Therefore, the GPRN/NSCN statement that the ongoing ceasefire is outside the purview of the NSF is purely an attempt to belittle and ignore the contribution of the NSF towards the Naga Nationalism. The NSF also expresses its strongest condemnation to the attempt of the GPRN/NSCN in trying to divert the issue to downplay to a mere tribal and regional matter. The NSF is a body which has been tested time and again by divisive forces but it has never succumbed. The strength of the NSF lies in its federating units, subordinate bodies, senior leaders of NSF, and more importantly, the popular support of the right thinking citizen. The NSF doesn’t have any hidden agenda against the GPRN/NSCN or other factions fighting for the cause of the Nagas. However, the federation will tolerate and therefore will continue to oppose such cruel acts perpetrated against the students’ community and the innocent public. As a matter of fact, the NSF shall continue to strive for justice and shall not cow down by any threat or intimidation. Therefore, let it be known that NSF is not guided or misled against the GPRN/NSCN, rather, it should be understood that the federation is standing firm in demand for justice. As such, the question of appropriate response does not arise. However, if the phrase “appropriate response shall be prepared” is intended to mean threat to the NSF, then there is no dearth of fear for NSF to continue to stand for our rights till justice is delivered. Therefore the federation, having lost its confidence and also showing strong disappointment towards the attitude of the intellectual leaders of GPRN/NSCN Govt. to admit the crime committed by its erring cadre, despite clear and honest clarification given by the federation, is compelled to declare that henceforth, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) will not cooperate nor extent any help or support in any manner to the government of GPRN/NSCN till the demand of the federation is satisfactorily responded and the matter amicably solved. In this regard, the NSF has directed all its federating units and subordinate bodies and all bona fide members of the federation in all Naga inhabited areas to abstain from extending co-operation to the GPRN/NSCN government in any manner or capacity.
