*Brief Wintry Mix Possible this Morning* *Sunshine for Wednesday through Friday* *Rain Developing for Saturday and Sunday* DETAILS – A very weak weather impulse is moving through central Virginia this morning and that will bring a few rain showers and mixed in wet snowflakes. We are not expecting any accumulation, this will be more of “oh look snowflakes in the air” and then when they hit the ground they will melt. This system will move out during the lunch hour and some sunshine will develop from west to east during the afternoon. It will be a chilly day with highs in the upper 30s to near 40. Our skies will be clear tonight and it will be cold with lows in the middle 20s. Wednesday will feature mostly sunny skies but it will remain chilly with highs in the lower 40s. For New Year’s Eve night we can expect clear skies with temperatures around 30 when we ring in 2015, but our overnight lows will drop into the lower 20s. More sunshine is expect for Thursday and Friday with highs in the upper 40s on Thursday and climbing into the middle 50s by Friday. Our next weather system will begin to move in on Saturday, so we will see increasing clouds with rain developing by the afternoon. More rain is possible on Sunday as this system pulls through the Mid Atlantic.
