The inward-looking focus of the woman holding a rose between her lips, leaves the viewer with a vague feeling of sadness. The sculpture was created in 1924 and is signed with Otto Gutfreund. Exclusive limited edition of 20 copies, individually numbered and signed with the artists name. Like all of our bronze sculptures this was made in the lost wax process. Otto Gutfreund (1889 - 1927) is one of the most important representatives of Czech Cubism. His cubist period falls in the years from 1911 until 1919.
