***Buggalugs*** He remained in the pound for so long because of his history with other dogs that he shared pens with. There were a number of incidents. One of which I witnessed myself. I thought about taking him home - but took Topollino home instead. She was the safer bet. PFT rescues sick dogs - thats our speciality. Behavioural issues is not our speciality - I know that in rescue, common sense must prevail. But I did see something...... There was a connection between us. Many Rescuers will understand what Im saying. So with a back-up plan, waiting a whole week to ensure we had the weekend to be home & supervise - I committed to this dog. I got him home, and I knew right away that I was right about this dog. There isnt one bad bone in his body. And hes perfectly perfect & respectful to other dogs outside of the pound environment. And so today he flew to Moree to start his temporary life at The Farm with Foster Mummy Carol. She was nervous & didnt know what to expect. I laughed. Told her to suck it up. That he was going to be perfectly fine with her own little dogs. Now SHES laughing - because she tells me he is such a delight & can see now so clearly now why I was drawn to this little portly, squat dog. Hes currently enjoying his 1st day at The Farm & busy exploring his new temporary home. As Carol came out of the doorway, she saw him scurrying past her - man on a mission. She called his new name out not expecting a response. His head bolted up & then he immediately galloped over. Carol tells me that he is a super little boy, whos had a rough life. She said hes SO worthy of all good things coming his way. Farmer Rod came outside to ask....... Did you know theres a white dog in the garden? I teach my Foster Carers well.
