#BusFare Government of Odisha has brought down fares of Expess, Deluxe & AC Deluxe buses consequent to fall in prices of diesel. The fall in diesel cost is around INR 3 per liter. Now the mute question is what was the then bus fare when cost of diesel was same as of now? If its more now then whats the rationale. The same posure uniformly applies to transport sector in general including rail and air too. It may now suddenly start realising that, other than fuel there are other factors like tyre cost, terrain & wages which contribute to the running cost. Of course Police Hafta & Transport Departments Mamul could be the more heavier part of the fixed cost. Keeping all these in view why cant the Central Government not simultaneously come out a set of Price Variation Formula? This could be binding for all the stake holders, saving the general public from plunder.
