“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33. The problem with the church in America is in our society, we teach individualization. We have a crop of false teachers who focus their theology and teaching on showing their congregants how to “be a better you”, “name it and claim it”, “prosper in life”, etc, and all the while, seeking the kingdom of God has become secondary. In theory, in sounds good to focus on improving ourselves. Who wouldn’t want to improve? However, what does the Scripture say? “But seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God, AND His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Your life has no order when you are out of order with God. Stop believing the foolishness that seeking your own will is the will of God. It is NOT. Prayerfully seek where He wants you to be; not just consult the preacher on how you can add prosperity to your life. Prayerfully ask Him what He wants you to do; not just consult the preacher on how to be a better you. Prayerfully ask Him to renew your mind and stir up your spirit; not just consult the preacher on the best way to build up your self-esteem. It’s not about me. It’s not about you. It really isn’t. It’s all about Him. THY will be done, THY kingdom come…
