“Butterfly” How does one lift a spirit that has been trampled under foot and abused a gentle loving spirit willing to give if only to be love for who they are and not used yet there are those out there that have no issue taking ones essence away regardless of how they do it they have no care for others or if they create a fray tearing the spirit away from those who hold it dear to their heart and soul knowing it can be rebuilt, yet how many times and at what point do they just go go into hiding, deep within their shell and protect themselves from those who steal yet as we climb in the shell we still have that urge to fight and to never give never yield so we wrap ourselves in our safe well chosen cocoon of our protective shell trying to shield ourselves from others who steal and hurt and make life a hell yet with hopes of a butterfly to emerge and take flight to the loving sky always determined to strive and be what we are, even when stepped on we must be alive for without that urge deep within, we can easily succumb to those that want us to fail so we emerge from the cocoon sore fly find our essence and with our wings set sail to find the one we were before those who take, have taken so much of our love soaring through the clouds screaming I’m free and always looking above above the mire of life’s painful lessons and life’s many broken paths finding that essence that allows us to be who we are to smile to love to laugh by Frank Michael Williams
