► COORDINATOR - PROCESS TRAINING The Lihir operation on Niolam Island in the New Ireland Province of Papua New Guinea (PNG), 900 kilometres north-east of Port Moresby, is 100 per cent owned and operated by Lihir Gold Limited (LGL). This is a terrific career opportunity for an experienced Trainer to lead the Processing Operations Training team in the identification, design and delivery of high quality training programs for our Lihir Island Operation in PNG. Reporting to the Training Lead, this role sits within the onsite training team, and is offered on a 15/13 FIFO basis. Responsible for coordinating all processing operations technical training for the department, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of the operation by increasing the skills of operators within the processing department. You will be responsible for quickly identifying training needs and focussing on the appropriate solutions. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customer groups and for ensuring all training meets customer, quality and legislative requirements will be fundamental to the role. To be considered for this position you will have relevant Processing experience, with autoclaves would be an advantage, as well as a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE). You will bring with you experience within the mining sector, in particular within a processing environment. You will bring a proactive approach to your work with demonstrated experience at leading, coaching and developing high performing teams. As a strong communicator and influencer you will have the ability to work effectively with all levels of the business and will be adept at problem solving and delivering solutions to complex technical problems.
