#Cancer #help #support #charity #donation #cancerfund #stomachcancer #fightcancer #cancerbenefit #donate #GoFundMe gofundme/9gdfqg UPDATE for November 7-12, 2014 – Hello everyone; well 65 days since David’s surgery and stay at Yale in the ICU and Smilow & Gaylord and FINALLY he is home!!! In these past 6 days since updating you it has been quite a struggle and challenge emotionally to get ready to get here; as well as trying to get everything he needs to come home. I have his wheelchair, way too many medications, IV pole, J-tube feeding pump, back pack to carry pump in when we’re out, case of food, syringes, gauze, dressings to change his bandages, etc., etc., etc. My dining room hutch is now a medical supply cabinet. No we still don’t have everything; I forgot to get spring water to put through his feeding tube, as well as a thermometer & shower chair plus a couple of other items. I also still have to pick up 31 boxes of flooring & 6 rolls of floor pads and then get it installed. There is not enough time in the day to do everything. To top off not being ready, there was also much concern at the last minute that they did not want David to leave because his liver enzymes suddenly started to rise plus his feet are cold. He had to have both legs ultrasound and a belly ultrasound prior to leaving, but in the end, they took out his IV pick line from his arm and we walked out of Gaylord at 3 pm today. I can’t begin to tell you how happy we are, we are nowhere near the end of the struggle but I just keep pressing forward. Next week is another barium test as well as appts with the surgeons and we’ll find out when his surgery is to remove the stent. No, David still cannot eat anything by mouth; he is on his J-Tube feeding 24 hrs a day; until we can either start to increase tube feed or get some real food into his body. Therefore he currently receives all nourishment strictly through the j-tube feeding tube. We still have many concerns to address we are meeting with his regular doctor on Friday for more blood test and we are happy this is new eyes on what going on with David as well as I still need to get him an appt with his heart doctor to see when he gets off the heart medicine. Doctors’ appts for a while will be never ending but this is putting David on the right track to get healthier and better set into his new lifestyle. I can’t begin to thank everyone who has supported David and me through everything that we’ve been through, that we’re still going through and will still be here as we move forward on this new journey in life. Please Keep the Donations and PRAYERS coming TO GIVE DAVID STRENGTH IN HEALING. We truly appreciated all of your support for David on his Journey in Healing from both the Cancer and the surgeries for Stomach / Esophagus Removal and Lung Repair. REMINDER: We still have some Large & X-Large shirts ($20 ea), silicone bracelets ($2 ea), decals ($5 ea) and butterfly lollipops from Canada ($3 each or 2 for $5) for you to purchase.
