*Carrying a tray laden with food up to the second floor and all the way to the back of the house wasnt exactly an easy feat, but since none of the other servers were human, the task fell to her. Not that she minded, she was more than happy to do it, but damn if the stairs didnt leave her a little bit winded! They needed an elevator in this place! Knocking on the door to her old room, she heard shuffling sounds inside then McKayla opened the door, her nervous eyes taking everything in in a glance. The poor girl was still scared shitless, barely venturing out of her room any further than the sitting room down the hall. Remembering what it was like to be scared of shadows, she shook her head slightly. At least shed had Remi to help her get through the emotional trauma of being abused. This poor girl didnt really have anyone, except for a Katagari tiger more emotionally scarred than she was. Although, maybe having someone to help heal would help Kayla heal faster. Stepping into the room, she carried the tray over to a small table and set it down, then turned to the redheaded wolfswan.* Theres enough for you and Kit, just call down to the kitchen when youre done and someone will come up for the dishes. You can leave them out in the hall in case its not me. *The girl just nodded her head, keeping her arms clasped tightly around her middle and her eyes downcast. Sighing heavily, Sydney moved towards the door.* Itll get better, Kayla, I promise. *Slipping out the door, she moved down the hallway, wishing there was more she could do for Kayla. Aside from Kit, the only other two people Kayla seemed to trust in this place were Margie and Cody. She would have to talk to them both and see what they thought. Somehow they had to get Kayla to venture out of her room more. The only way the girl was going to heal was if she saw with her own eyes that people here could be trusted. Heading down to the bar to get back to waiting tables, Syds thoughts remained on the two survivors of the fight ring. Theyd survived physically, she would see to it they both survived mentally too.*
