Stay blessed and enjoy the recap... and dont forget, plan and prepare for the very special #CrossOver Night! Enjoy... SUNDAY 28TH – BE EXPECTANT 1.0. THE POWER OF EXPECTATION 2.0. LEVERAGE ON YOUR SPIRITUALITY FOR EXPECTANCY 3.0. GET INTO 2015 WITH THE RIGHT EXPECTATIONS 1.0. THE POWER OF EXPECTATION As popularly said, “Expectation is the mother of manifestation”. Every great destiny achievement is built on the foundations of expectation. 2014 has come to a glorious conclusion. What will determine your productivity and results in 2015 is your expectation! God works in your life at the frequency of your expectation! Psalm 62:5, “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him.” Expectation is very powerful. You cannot experience what you do not expect. Ovion Swett Marden once said, “There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something tomorrow”. Expectation acts as a medicine to heal the hurts and frustrations of yesterday’s unachievements. So long as expectation is still alive, hope is in place. Regardless of what negativities may have gone down in 2014, choose to keep hope alive by the power of expectation. Expectation is believing that something positive can still result from seemingly dead situations. Job 14:7-9, “For there is hope of a tree if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water, it will bud and bring forth boughs like a plant.” You may have areas of your life that look like they were dead in 2014; let your expectations come alive. Those same areas will produce abundantly in 2015! 2.0. LEVERAGE ON YOUR SPIRITUALITY FOR EXPECTANCY There is such a strong connection between expectation and hope. The words expectations and hope can be used very interchangeably. You cannot have expectations and not be hopeful. You cannot also be hopeful and not be expectant. Ecclesiastes 9:4, “For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.” As long as you are alive, you must realize that all things in your life have the potential to get better quickly. But much more than the hope that comes by just being alive, you must also realize that you are joined to the living God! Your case can never be hopeless! You must learn to leverage on your connection with the Lord to release the supply of hope and expectation for great effectiveness in 2015. Rely on the Lord and refuse to forsake God! Jeremiah 17:13, “O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters” When people forsake the Lord, they lose hope, they become ashamed and their expectation is rendered ineffective. Connection to the Lord releases hope and hope terminates shame. Romans 5:5, “And hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” When the love of God is in our hearts, our expectations come alive and hope keeps us away from shame! In 2015, by the grace of the Lord, shame shall be far from your habitation! When you are born again, you are born into a hope that cannot die. The Bible calls it “A Lively Hope” other translation renders it as “A Living Hope”. 1 Peter 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” As long as Jesus rose from the dead, expect glorious things to rise in your favor all through the year 2015! You have been born into a living hope! 3.0. GET INTO 2015 WITH THE RIGHT EXPECTATIONS A. Expect to receive: Acts 3:4-7, “And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, look unto us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something from them. Then peter said, silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bone received strength.” Go into 2015, expecting to receive whatever you need from the Lord! B. Expect your case to be positively different: Even if everyone is going down, expect to rise on top; knowing that your case is different! Exodus 9:25-26, “And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field. Only in the land of Goshen where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.” In 2015, what destroys others would not destroy you! C. Expect easy victories by divine interventions Exodus 14:14, “The Lord shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace” Isaiah 45:2-3, “I will go before thee and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass and cut in asunder the bars of iron: I will give thee the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.” Dear brothers and sisters, expect to see the dimension of promotion and upliftment you have never seen before! IT IS YOUR TIME! #CelebrationsRECAP @PstOlumese #TeamAmazing #Kano4Christ #FinishStrong
