#ChennaiExpress – Slightly Delayed Rohit Shetty – the man with a Midas Touch comes up with his next movie Chennai Expruss… Rahul (SRK) is a 40 year old man who lives with his grandparents. They are into Sweet business (making SRK a Halwai) Grandpa dies and Rahul’s Grandmom (Kamini Kaushal) tells him that he must perform Grandpa’s asthi visarjan at Rameshwaram. Rahul’s friends have planned a trip to Goa and they convince him that GOA or Rameshwaram there is no difference. Rahul’s Grandmom comes to the railway station to see him off and now he is forced to get on board the train. He gets into Chennai Express where he meets Meena (Deepika Padukone) and a few more dangerous looking Tamil Goons. The goons throw the TC out of the moving train and since Rahul is an eye witness, he is not allowed to disembark by the goons and he is now forced to go to the village. Meena’s Dad (Satyaraj) is the Don and has decided to get his daughter married to Tangavalli and Meena does not wish to marry him. She tries to create a story that Rahul loves her and this enrages Tangavalli. He challenges Rahul for a fight and the entire conversation is in Tamil. Rahul (who does not understand the real meaning) agrees for the fight. Realizing that he has accepted a fight challenge, he decides to escape. Rahul and Meena both run away and the deadly chase with flying cars and bikes begin. How will the hero get the heroine is what this movie is all about. #VinuGyaan: This is the first tamil Movie released from the Bollywood stable. Deepika’s heavy accent irritates the audience. Surprising thing is her hindi is perfect when singing songs but the accent comes into play during normal conversation. The movie is just a one-time watch and I would give it 2 stars.
