~~~~~~~~~~~~Christ for ALL Mankind on Earth~~~~~~~~~~~~ --------------[ Friends Whats Your Outlook On Halloween? ]-------------- Halloween has always been an issue for many Christians, and often times we are ridiculed if we take a stand against it. If you are a believer in Christ, you need to be aware of what people deem okay and what God doesn’t. I am not completely against Halloween, as I believe it can be a great event to bring God glory through evangelism and winning souls. Yet, it is also a time when evil is celebrated and exalted regardless of Halloween’s origins and history. I am not a Halloween expert, but I have studied it’s origins several times over the years. The problem with Halloween is that these same people enjoy doing demonic practices on this day because so many people are doing it too. They celebrate it by decorating their homes, children or even churches with pictures, ornaments and costumes of monsters, ghosts, witches and other hellish beings. To me, kids dressing up as princesses, ninjas or Pokémon characters are okay, because it’s not demonic in any way. The issue for me, and as a Christian, is the portrayal of how “okay” people are with demons. I have seen the damage that they do to people, their influence in the media and our world so I have nothing positive to say about them. I refuse to pretend like it’s all right because “everyone else is doing it”. The One that I will have to answer to will be Christ when I die and go to Heaven, not the President, not my friends or family, nor anyone else for that matter. To wrap it up, I am against Halloween and cannot agree with the holiday as a time about costumes and candy. Here are some verses that deal with witchcraft and God’s attitude towards it. Have a safe Halloween, be led by Holy Spirit in what you do, and make sure that whatever your actions are, glorify Him in them.Deuteronomy 18:9-14----- 9 “When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, be very careful not to imitate the detestable customs of the nations living there. 10 For example, never sacrifice your son or daughter as a burnt offering. And do not let your people practice fortune-telling, or use sorcery, or interpret omens, or engage in witchcraft, 11 or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord. It is because the other nations have done these detestable things that the Lord your God will drive them out ahead of you. 13 But you must be blameless before the Lord your God. 14 The nations you are about to displace consult sorcerers and fortune-tellers, but the Lord your God forbids you to do such things.” 1 Corinthians 10:19-21--- 19 What am I trying to say? Am I saying that food offered to idols has some significance, or that idols are real gods? 20 No, not at all. I am saying that these sacrifices are offered to demons, not to God. And I don’t want you to participate with demons. 21 You cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and from the cup of demons, too. You cannot eat at the Lord’s Table and at the table of demons, too. Halloween can be an effective tool to reach out to non-believers. I know that one good way would be to make goody bags with a little candy and also including something simple like a “Jesus Loves You” sticker. Little things like that can make all the difference. Should we dress up as Captain America and go trick or treating? Why not? Carve pumpkins? Um… yes! Have the church run a trunk or treat? That is a great tool to reach out to the community. Should we pretend to do witchcraft/wizardy/etc. etc.? No. What do you think? Let Me know in the comments!???? ``````````````````````````Whats your reaction```?????????????----
