Economic Development Manager According to a news release, Tipton has a water issue with water lines being to small., but they want to move forward as soon as possible. The location of the store is slated to be located on N. Burnett Rd. and Highway 99, on the partial next to the old creamery houses. The estimated time of Dollar General deciding on a location and opening its doors to the public is between six and nine months, with about half of that being construction time. Dollar General is looking to have over 20,000 stores in 46 states. The latest store opened within the last two months in Earlimart, just South of Tipton. [Info obtained from various sources] (RT)
